Description
In Colorado’s Weld County, Anadarko Petroleum Corp. completed a Denver-Julesberg Field discovery at #14C-15HZ Buffalo. The well is in Section 15-1n-68w and was drilled to 12,447 ft with a true vertical depth of 7,914 ft. It was tested flowing 227 bbl of 47° API oil, 500,000 cu ft of gas and 149 bbl of water per day from commingled Codell (8,357-12,311 ft) and Fort Hays (9,152-10,787 ft). Gauged on a 14/64-inch choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 1,800 psi and the flowing casing pressure was 2,500 psi. Anadarko is a subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum.
