Description
Walter Oil & Gas has spud an offshore Louisiana development test in West Delta Block 112 Field. The #7-A OCS G08736 is being drilled from the company’s A platform in the southern portion of West Delta Block 106, with a planned bottomhole to the east in Block 107. Area water depth is 250 ft. Numerous wells have been drilled from the A platform, with production coming from the Pliocene at 5,000-7,000 ft and Upper Miocene at 11,500-19,000 ft. Since 1995, wells drilled from the Walter-operated platform have recovered 13.5 MMbbl of crude/condensate and 101 Bcf of gas from six active wells.
