Description
Hornibrook Oil & Gas Operating Co., Little Rock, Ark., plans two 1,900-ft. wildcats on the Ozark Uplift about 13 miles southeast of Fayetteville in western Washington County, Ark. The #1-16 Baker is in Section 16-14n-28w and #1-17 Cookie Shelton is 0.25 mile west in Section 17 of the same township. The area is within one mile southeast of Hazel Valley Field. Discovered in 1979, this field has produced 747 million cu. ft. of gas from Upper Devonian Sylamore sand at depths ranging from 400 to 1,100 ft. Now inactive, Brentwood Field about five miles west-southwest. This field was discovered in 1959 and produced 1.83 billion cu. ft. of gas before it was abandoned in 1990.
