Description
Two McKenzie County, N.D., Middle Bakken wells were completed by Oklahoma City-based WPX Energy Corp. The discoveries were drilled from a Squaw Creek Field pad in Section 14-149w-94w. The #14-11HG Blue Racer has a total depth of 21,049 ft and a true vertical depth of 11,009 ft. It flowed 3,833 bbl of 42° API oil, 3.379 MMcf of gas and 1,675 bbl of water per day from perforations at 11,339-20,975 ft. It was tested on a 28/64-inch choke, and the flowing casing pressure was 3,500 psi. Within one-half mile to the south, #14-11HA Mandaree Warrior was drilled to 21,001 ft (10,865 ft true vertical) and produced 3,154 bbl of 42° API oil, 3.528 MMcf of gas and 1,198 bbl of water per day from perforations at 11,281-20,865 ft. It was tested on a 24/42-inch choke and the flowing casing pressure was 3,700 psi.
