Carrier Energy Partners invests alongside operators in oil and gas leasehold and drilling programs. The company aims to have a portfolio of assets operated by experienced, technically sound management teams in North America, in areas such as the Permian Basin and Eagle Ford Shale. Carrier seeks opportunities to joint venture with operating partners that have demonstrated a track record of creating value in previous endeavors, to deploy drilling capital in a defined development program, and to exit the investment when the asset has been sufficiently de-risked.

The management team of Carrier has extensive interdisciplinary experience in reservoir engineering, acquisitions and divestitures, corporate finance and principal investing in the energy industry. The team previously acquired and built a portfolio of primarily nonoperated upstream oil and gas assets producing over 4,000 net barrels of oil equivalent per day as of year-end 2012 for a Fortune 200 company. These assets were in the Powder River Basin, Williston Basin, Midcontinent, Eagle Ford Shale, Marcellus Shale and Permian Basin.

Carrier Energy Partners is a partnership with Riverstone Holdings LLC, an energy and power-focused private investment firm founded in 2000 with about $34 billion of equity capital raised. With offices in New York, London, Houston and Mexico City, Riverstone has committed roughly $30 billion to more than 120 investments in North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
