Enron Corp. (2024)

About

Enron Corp. purports to be a U.S. energy company. The company’s name publicly resurfaced in 2024, and its website includes a disclaimer that “the information on the website about Enron is First Amendment protected parody, represents performance art, and is for entertainment purposes only.”

The original Enron Corp. was involved in a series of events that resulted in the bankruptcy of the U.S. energy, commodities and services company in 2001 and the dissolution of Arthur Andersen LLP, which had been one of the largest auditing and accounting companies in the world, according to Britannica. Enron, which held more than $60 billion in assets, involved one of the biggest bankruptcy filings in the history of the U.S.
