ElizaBeth De Maagd covers the Appalachian region for Hart Energy. In March 2018, she joined the Hart Energy team as a freelance writer. De Maagd is very familiar with Hart Energy through her work as an Energy Public Relations Consultant specializing in the Marcellus and Utica Shale industry. Prior to moving to the Pennsylvania area, she worked in Marina Del Rey, CA in the fields of science education, corporate business, and media relations. In 2010, she started her own energy and environmental consulting firm under De Maagd Consulting. ElizaBeth is an award-winning writer for energy education programs, international publications writer, and a published author. De Maagd holds a Bachelors in Education from Carlow University with a Pennsylvania Education Teaching Certificate and additional studies in environmental biology, communications, law, and energy. In her spare time, ElizaBeth volunteers for cancer organizations, restores vintage trailers, serves as a Board of Directors for the North American Coalbed Methane Forum as well as mentors Petroleum Engineering students through her Engineering Eagles program.
