ARKeX has announced the acquisition of ARK Geophysics, creating the world’s only independent service company specializing in both Gravity Gradient Imaging and conventional gravity and magnetics. The combined company employs 60 people worldwide.
With expertise ranging from planning and processing to interpretation and integration, ARK Geophysics provides a valuable addition to ARKeX’s capabilities. The acquisition will see ARKeX's capacity in data processing and interpretation double, as well as bringing a non-exclusive data library and brokerage business to ARKeX. All geophysical staff of ARK Geophysics will be retained, and the full service offering of ARK Geophysics will be maintained under the ARKeX brand.
The integration of the data processing and interpretation staff will facilitate faster turnaround of both feasibility models for survey planning and final results from BlueQube surveys performed in all areas of the world.
“The acquisition of ARK Geophysics allows ARKeX to reduce processing and interpretation time for our clients and aids our future expansion plans” said Gary Jones, chairman of ARKeX. “We are very excited about the future possibilities and welcome the wealth of knowledge and experience this acquisition will bring.”
“
This move comes after the recent doubling of ARKeX’s acquisition capacity and after the announcement to field more instruments next year in order to meet the rapidly growing demand for BlueQube services in Gravity Gradient Imaging (GGI).
