CGGVeritas has won a multi-year survey deal in the Middle East. The company has also landed a pre-financing commitments for future wide-azimuth multi-client programs in the Gulf of Mexico. Both deals are worth a total of US $250 million.


In the Middle East, CGGVeritas has been awarded a deal to shoot a large 3-D offshore seismic survey in the Gulf. The CGGVeritas Orion vessel will undertake the survey and work will kick off in the fourth quarter. The work is expected to take 18 months, with an option for a one-year extension.


Meanwhile, CGGVeritas has won multiple contracts in the North American Arctic region where the HPVA technology for high resolution acquisition will be introduced during the next two winter seasons, the firm said.
