1 US
Results from four Susquehanna County, Pa., Marcellus Shale producers were announced by Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake Operating Inc. in Auburn Township. The #24HC Holtan has a total depth of 22,187 ft (7,605 ft true vertical depth). It was tested flowing 44.271 MMcf/d of gas after 81-stage fracturing. Production is from perforations at 7,859 ft to 22,172 ft. The #25HC Holtan was drilled to 21,460 ft (7,613 ft true vertical depth). It flowed 49.605 MMcf/d of gas from perforations at 7,839 ft to 21,445 ft. It was tested after 72 stages of fracturing. The #1HC Rosiemar has a total depth of 19,384 ft (7,141 ft true vertical depth). It produced 56.338 MMcf/d of gas. It was fracture stimulated in 45 stages and is producing from perforations between 7,724 ft and 19,369 ft. The #1H Rosiemar flowed 56.338 MMcf/d of gas from perforations at 7,724 ft to 19,369 ft. It was drilled to 19,384 ft (7,141 ft true vertical depth). Production is from perforations at 7,724 ft to 19,369 ft, and it was fractured in 45 stages.
2 Guyana
Results from an independent prospective resource study and report were announced by Frontera Energy and CGX Energy for the offshore Guyana Corentyne North Area, Corentyne Main Area and Demerara blocks. A total of 32 prospects were identified in the study in both blocks (27 in the Corentyne Block and five in the Demerara Block): The unrisked volume is 6.089 MMboe, and the risked volume is 1.09 MMboe. According to the company, the prospects are oil (64%), gas (28%) and the remainder condensate (8%). An exploration well in the Corentyne Block at #1-Kawa is planned in the second half of 2021 and will target a stratigraphic trap in Campanian-Santonian-aged rocks. Nearby discoveries are to the east in Suriname’s Block 58. In the Demerara Block, exploration well #1-Makarapan will be targeting an Aptian stratigraphic prospect. Toronto-based Frontera holds a direct working interest of 33.3% in both the offshore Corentyne and Demerara blocks, and CGX holds 73.8% interest.
3 Cambodia
KrisEnergy has completed an offshore Cambodia oil well in Apsara Field in the Gulf of Thailand. The #1A is the first of five planned development wells in the Mini Phase 1A project, which involves a simple wellhead platform, a 30,000-bbl/d production barge, a storage vessel and two leased shuttle tankers. Production from the initial phase is expected to peak at 7,500 bbl/d of oil. Singapore-based KrisEnergy plans to drill and complete the remaining four wells in the Khmer Trough in the Khmer Basin.
