Houston-based EOG Resources Inc. announced results from two more Bone Spring-Berry North Field wells completed in New Mexico’s Lea County. The #507H Date 14 State Com has a total depth of 21,214 ft (10,941 ft true vertical). It flowed 1,929 bbl of 39° API oil, 1.682 MMcf of gas and 872 bbl/d of water. It was tested on a 70/64-nch choke with a flowing casing pressure of 555 psi. Production is from perforations at 11,273-21,214 ft. The #508H Date 14 State Com produced 1,994 bbl of 39° API oil, 2.565 MMcf of gas and 1,287 bbl/d of water from a perforated zone at 11,355-21,330 ft. It was drilled to 21,330 ft (10,969 ft true vertical) and bottomed in Section 11. Tested on a 70/64-inch coke, the flowing casing pressure was 606 psi.

2 Indonesia

Petronas announced an oil discovery in the offshore Java North Madura II Production Sharing Contract in Indonesia. Exploration well #1-Hidayah was drilled to 2,739 m. It encountered an oil-bearing carbonate build-up with good reservoir qualities in Ngimbang Carbonate. It was tested flowing approximately 2,100 bbl/d of oil with good crude quality. Additional testing is planned. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia–based Petronas is also the operator for the Bukit Tua oil and gas field, offshore East Java. 

3 Australia

Origin Energy announced results from a Beetaloo Basin venture at #117 N2-1H ST2 Kyalla in Australia’s Northern Territory. After a nitrogen gas injection, the well flowed 400,000-600,000 cf of gas during a 17-hour period with some condensate shows from Kyalla. An extended production test is planned to determine the long-term performance in license area EP117. Sydney-based Origin is the operator with partner Falcon Oil & Gas.
