COMPANIES
Cabot Oil & Gas Corp. and Climarex Energy Co. have completed the all-stock merger of equals forming one of the largest U.S. shale companies with the moniker Coterra Energy Inc. The combined production base, as of second-quarter 2021, was approximately 605,000 boe/d. Read more here.
Gardner Denver High Pressure Solutions was renamed GD Energy Products to better reflect its commitment to the upstream oil and gas market. As a standalone business, GD Energy Products will focus its efforts on serving its customers in the upstream oilfield service sector while continuing to deliver highly engineered and customer-driven solutions.
CGG S.A. has completed the sale of CGG’s GeoSoftware business Topicus.com Inc. and Vela Software for the total cash consideration of $95 million. The transaction was effective Oct. 1, 2021.
James Fisher has rebranded its French subsidiary Mojo Maritime as James Fisher Renouvelables, which sees consolidation of the group’s capabilities into a comprehensive renewables service provision. The company will focus on providing specialist solutions throughout the project development life cycle, including site preparation, UXO/EOD mitigation, piling noise attenuation, cable termination, testing and HV commissioning management, subsea and blade operations and maintenance, and digital solutions focused on increasing availability and safety through curation of accurate as-built record.
IHI Power Services Corp. has opened its remote operating center. The center, based at the company’s headquarters in Aliso Viejo, Calif., extends its operations and maintenance service capabilities to further support the renewable power generation sector. The center provides IPSC clients with a remote operation, monitoring and start/stop control of existing simple cycle gas turbine peaking projects.
