Paradigm has announced the completion of a project to upgrade and modernize Saratovneftegeofizika JSC data processing and interpretation center located in Saratov, Russia.
The new Paradigm equipment and software enables Russia’s most established geophysical organization to enhance productivity and efficiency during seismic data interpretation and evaluation. The data interpretation software will support Saratovneftegeofizika’s active hydrocarbon exploration projects in Russia and Central Asia.
“Paradigm’s modernization of our data processing and interpretation center enables Saratovneftegeofizika to efficiently acquire and process accurate geophysical data,” said Dmitriy Slonov, general director of Saratovneftegeofizika JSC. “Working with Paradigm, we hope to make the center a strategic fixture for the successful completion of future geological prospecting projects.”
“The latest Paradigm technologies combined with Saratovneftegeofizika’s experience and specialized knowledge of complex geological conditions will help the company solve a wide range of geophysical problems,” said Alexander Sibirtsev, Paradigm sales director. “Paradigm’s sophisticated software solutions enable companies like Saratovneftegeofizika to acquire and process accurate geologic-geophysical data in the most demanding environments.”
Saratovneftegeofizika now has access to a wide range of Paradigm E&P technologies, including 2-D and 3-D seismic data processing and imaging, complex velocity-depth models, seismic characterization, amplitude vs. offset analysis, seismic facies classification and analysis, and the processing and interpretation of log data. Paradigm also provided advanced hardware and software operating systems, including an eight-node cluster with 16 Intel dual-core processors and high-performance graphic workstations.
