SCAN Geophysical ASA announced that the company has been awarded a contract from Petronas Carigali Overseas SDN BHD (Petronas) for 2-D marine acquisition in the
Petronas, a Malaysian state owned oil company with vision to become a leading oil and gas multinational company, will be exploring for hydrocarbons in this region.
SCAN is scheduled to commence the acquisition of the 2-D program during June 2007, utilizing the M/V Scan Resolution. The contract is expected to last for approximately 2 months.
