Transocean announced a one-year contract for its Deepwater Conqueror drillship with an undisclosed operator in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico on Oct. 17.
The contract is expected to begin in October 2025 and contribute approximately $193 million in backlog, including additional services.
Transocean owns or partially owns and operates a fleet of 34 mobile offshore drilling units, including 26 ultra-deepwater floaters and eight harsh environment floaters.
