Hart Energy and Oil and Gas Investor presented the 2020 Pinnacle Award at the Women in Energy luncheon to Dr. Sharon L. Wood, Ph.D., P.E., and Dean of the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. The Pinnacle Award recognized her dedication to the advancement of architectural and environmental engineering.
As dean of one of the largest engineering schools in the U.S., with more than 8,000 students, Woods—a civil engineer—is the first woman to hold the title at UT-Austin. It is a position she’s held since 2013.
Please enjoy this one-on-one interview where Dean Wood shared her experiences, challenges and success with Hart Energy’s Jessica Morales.
