Akin added energy transactions partner Trent Bridges, formerly general council for Magellan Midstream, to the law firm.

Bridges joined the firm from Sidley Austin and previously served as vice president and assistant general counsel for Magellan Midstream Partners LP.

Bridges represents clients in a range of energy transactions, infrastructure development projects and investments, with a particular emphasis on the midstream industry.

He has extensive experience advising on acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, greenfield projects and investments across the oil and gas value chain. He also represents clients advancing the energy transition to include infrastructure projects and investments related to sustainable fuels, carbon capture, net zero goals and hydrogen.

“Trent’s experience working on impactful and cutting-edge energy and infrastructure transactions will be a tremendous asset to our clients,” Akin Chair Kim Koopersmith said. “Our premier energy practice is an important part of the firm’s strategy, and we are delighted to add top talent like Trent to our team.”
