Altus Power Inc. announced April 27 that the construction of a 2.5-megawatt ground-mounted solar array has been completed. Completion of the solar array in Garrett County, Maryland, puts Altus in a position to expand even further in the state.
Altus expects the newly completed asset to generate approximately 3.5 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year of clean energy.
“We’re excited to continue expanding our presence in the State of Maryland and the completion of this system demonstrates our commitment to bring clean energy to our customers in the state,” said Lars Norell, co-CEO of Altus Power.
Altus Power is a commercial-scale clean electrification company that was founded in 2009. The company says it has generated more than 4 trillion solar energy, according to their official website.
