Barrio Energy is adding another digital infrastructure project to its portfolio with its latest project in Tyler, Texas—a 12-megawatt data center connected to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) grid.

Barrio is beginning rehabilitation work on the project as part of the company’s efforts to identify and develop mid-size electrical infrastructure, the company said in its Aug. 22 press release on the project.

Barrio now has five data center properties in Texas, all connected to the ERCOT grid. In the company’s announcement, Barrio said it is developing a list of projects in Texas.

Barrio acquires, develops and leases industrial commercial projects to service large-scale energy users such as data centers and battery energy storage needs within the ERCOT grid.
