Bloom Energy appointed Cynthia Warner to its board of directors, the company stated in a June 20 news release.
Warner brings to Bloom more than 40 years of experience in both traditional and renewable fuels. She currently serves on the board at Chevron and holds the position of lead independent director at Sempra Energy. Warner has led operations globally for refiners such as Andeavor and BP, per the release.
“At a time when the electricity and molecules market are converging and creating new opportunities, I am delighted to be joining the board and look forward to working with them and KR [Sridhar, founder and CEO of Bloom], to keep Bloom at the forefront of renewable fuels, hydrogen and clean power,” said Warner.
Headquartered in San Jose, California, Bloom Energy is a manufacturer of solid oxide fuel cells for electricity and hydrogen production.
