CNOOC Ltd. began production at its Enping 18-6 oil field, the company announced Oct. 26.
The Enping 18-6 field is in the Pearl River Mouth Basin of the South China Sea in an average water depth of 99 m.
The main production facilities include one wellhead platform, with 15 development wells planned to be put into production. It is expected to achieve a peak production of 9,300 bbl/d in 2024, according to the company.
CNOOC holds 100% interest in the project and acts as the operator.
About a month ago, CNOOC’s Lufeng 12-3 field began production.
