Resumed operations at the 0.8 Bcf/d Cove Point LNG facility in Lusby, Maryland, boosted natural gas deliveries to U.S. liquefaction terminals located outside the Gulf Coast region, according to the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
As a result, average gas deliveries to U.S. LNG export terminals rose by 1 Bcf/d from last week to 13.7 Bcf/d, the EIA said in its Oct. 17 weekly gas update, citing data from S&P Global Commodity Insights.
The Cove Point facility in Chesapeake Bay underwent scheduled annual maintenance from Sept. 20 to Oct. 10, according to Rystad Energy. Maintenance ended on Oct. 12, Berkshire Hathaway Energy confirmed in an email sent to Hart Energy.
