Delfin Midstream and Berlin-based SEFE signed a long-term supply agreement for 1.5 million tons per year (mtpy) of LNG from the company’s floating LNG platform off the Gulf Coast near Cameron, Louisiana.

The companies announced the 15-year agreement on March 25. The deliveries to SEFE will begin immediately on the platform’s commissioning.

“We are very pleased to enter into this agreement with SEFE and continue to build on Delfin’s position as a leading source of reliable low-cost energy from the safety of the United States,” Dudley Poston, Delfin CEO, said in the press release.

On March 10, U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Chris Wright granted Delfin a five-year extension on the project’s completion date to 2029.
