Despite a push to transform the global energy sector from fossil fuels to zero-carbon, recent events suggest that a smooth energy transition is elusive.
So, how can the oil and gas industry meet the challenge of transitioning to a healthy, environmentally sound and productive chain despite current challenges? And also, how can those in oil and gas communicate the realities of the energy transition to people who oppose the industry?
Amy Chronis, Vice Chairman, U.S. Oil, Gas & Chemicals Leader and Houston Managing Partner, Deloitte, and Angie Gildea, National Sector Lead, KPMG Energy, Natural Resources & Chemicals, KPMG LLP, recently joined Hart Energy to tackle these questions about the energy transition and more.
Both honorees of Hart Energy’s Oil and Gas Investor Influential Women in Energy program, Chronis and Gildea will be recognized at the 5th Annual Influential Women in Energy luncheon and networking event on Friday, April 29 at the Marriott Marquis hotel in Houston.
