Direct Energy, a subsidiary of Centrica Plc, Windsor, U.K., (London: CNA) plans to acquire Rockyview Energy Inc., Calgary, (Toronto: RVE) for C$3.16 per share in a deal valued at C$113.3 million, including assumed debt. Rockyview has conventional oil and gas and coalbed-methane operations in central Alberta, western Alberta and the Peace River Arch, and features 100,000 acres of undeveloped land. Production is 2,700 barrels of oil equivalent per day (97% gas). Net proved and probable reserves are 43.2 billion cubic feet equivalent.
