Calgary, Alberta-based Enbridge said on Aug. 19 that more than 1.5 million of its outstanding Series 3 preferred shares were tendered for conversion into new preferred shares.
On a one-for-one basis, the Series 3 shares were tendered for conversion into Series 4 preferred shares, effective Sept. 1.
Enbridge will now have 22.49 million Series 3 shares and 1.5 million Series 4 shares issued and outstanding, Enbridge said.
The Series 3 shares will continue to be listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) under the symbol ENB.PR.Y.
The Series 4 Shares will begin trading on the TSX on Sept. 3.
