enCore Energy Corp. appointed Dain McCoig as director of technical services effective immediately, the company said in a June 29 press release. In this new position, McCoig is responsible for engineering and technical support on all company projects.
McCoig has more than 15 years of experience with uranium extraction and in-situ recovery (ISR) processing at enCore’s plants in South Texas. Before joining enCore, McCoig started his career in 2004 at the Kingsville Dome ISR Uranium Central Processing Plant (CPP) as the plant engineer for Uranium Resources Inc. (URI). The plant has since been acquired by enCore.
McCoig also oversaw the startup of several CPPs, including Rosita, Kingsville and the Vasquez project. Before returning to enCore, McCoig was the vice president of operations during the construction of an Alabama graphite facility.
“[McCoig’s] knowledge and previous experience at our processing plants is invaluable,” said Paul Goranson, CEO of enCore. “An experienced team is our best asset as we simultaneously push the Rosita CPP and Alta Mesa CPP back into production."
enCore Energy Corp. is a clean nuclear energy company that utilizes ISR for uranium extraction. It is based in Corpus Christi, Texas.
