Encore Acquisition Co., Fort Worth, Texas, (NYSE: EAC) plans to sell certain Midcontinent assets to an undisclosed private buyer for $300 million. The assets include interests in 995 wells and units on approximately 232,000 gross acres (82,100 net) in the Verden and Newark East fields in Texas and Oklahoma and the Arkoma and Anadarko basins in Oklahoma. Net production is 29.1 million cubic feet of gas equivalent per day. Net proved reserves are 126.6 billion cubic feet equivalent (82% gas, 84.3 billion net proved producing).
