ENI Petroleum Co. Inc., a subsidiary of ENI SpA, Rome, (NYSE: E) has closed its acquisition of the offshore E&P operations of Dominion Resources Inc., Richmond, Va., (NYSE: D) for approximately US$4.7 billion. The assets include operations on the Gulf of Mexico shelf and in deep water offshore Texas and Louisiana. The major producing fields include Devils Tower, Triton, Goldfinger and Front Runner.
