Enphase Energy Inc. started shipment of its IQ8 microinverters to homeowners and businesses in Germany, the company said in a June 26 news release.
The IQ8 microinverters are intended to support newer, high-powered solar modules with a consistent DC current of 14 amperes and a peak output AC power of 384 watts (W). They are designed to maximize energy production through increased energy harvesting and can be maintained connected to the internet using Enphase’s app monitoring platform.
The IQ8 microinverters are comprised of three models—IQ8MC, IQ8AC and IQ8HC, which have a peak output power of 330 W, 366 W and 384 W. Each are designed to pair with a range of solar modules with a DC of 560 W. Enphase ensures a 25-year warranty to all IQ8 microinverters activated in Germany.
“Homeowners in Germany trust us to provide them with industry-leading solar energy solutions that are powerful, safe and reliable,” said Daniel Gnann, CEO of Solarhyp, a European energy solutions provider. “The new IQ8 Microinverter is the best-in-class solution that our installers trust to power a high-efficiency, long-lasting home energy solution.”
Enphase Energy is a global energy tech company based in California. It is a worldwide supplier of microinverter-based solar and battery systems.
