Jordan Soto, Hart Energy Staff: We're celebrating Hart Energy's 50th anniversary and Hall of Fame event. With us, a mover and shaker in the industry. Thank you so much for being here. Gary Petersen, co-founding member of EnCap. What's a major energy sector moment or event that had a really big impact on you?
Gary Petersen: Well, I think the most impactful event that's happened in my lifetime. I tell this to people all the time. We had the EnCap mousetrap built when the shale revolution took off. We were the number one player in the shale revolution as far as the private equity firm. That's kind of where we made our mark.
JS: Now as you're looking at the Hall of Famers and the movers and shakers of the industry, what's been an enduring legacy of those people?
GP: Well, I think all the people that are going to be recipients of this honor tonight are all dedicated their careers to the oil and gas and the energy industry, as have we, and it's been a lot of fun. We've met a lot of good people along the way, but just the camaraderie that we all have together is just wonderful.
JS: Well, thank you so much for being here, Gary. We really appreciate it. This is Hart Energy Live's 50th anniversary and Hall of Fame celebration.
