Fluor Corp. announced on April 20 it has signed a license agreement with Federated Co-Operatives Ltd. (FCL) for its Econamine FG Plus carbon capture technology to be used at FCL’s Co-op Renewable Diesel Complex in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Fluor will also help develop the process design package for the facility to help FCL hit its 40% emissions reduction target by 2030.
Scheduled to be operational by 2027, FCL’s renewable diesel project is part of a $2 billion investment in the construction of an agriculture complex.
Fluor Corp. is headquartered in Irving, Texas, and has provided engineering, procurement and construction services for more than 110 years.
