FMC Technologies, Inc. has been chosen to supply the subsea gas production system for Petrobras’ Mexilhão field offshore Brazil. The project has a value of approximately US $122 million in revenue to FMC Technologies. The scope of supply includes 6 subsea trees, 2 subsea manifolds with multiplexed controls and related subsea systems. Field requirements include a subsea system rated for 10,000 psi and high temperatures to 300°F. Equipment for this project will be engineered and manufactured at FMC Technologies’ facility in Rio de Janeiro. Deliveries are slated for 2008. The Mexilhão field is located in the Santos Basin, São Paulo State, about 160 kilometers offshore and water depths of 320 to 550 meters.
