Brandon Junker, co-founder, president and operations of Acacia Exploration Partners LLC, is today’s featured Forty Under 40 honoree.
Acacia Exploration Partners is a private oil and gas operating company backed with an equity commitment form Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors LP. Based in Dallas, the company currently manages approximately 11,000 net boe/d and 28,000 net acres across the STACK play in the Anadarko Basin, including operations of 116 wells.
Junker co-founded Acacia with two other partners, Melissa Andreani and Clayton Flurry. Together, they plan to turn the firm into “a multifaceted, multibasin company, with operated and nonoperated investments across the risk spectrum,” he said.
Signing the company first rig contract after forming Acacia was an especially proud moment Junker said he will never forget.
“Pulling up on location and seeing the derrick raised, ready to spud our first well as Acacia was the culmination of all the hard work every member of our team had contributed in building our company,” he said. “To add to the excitement, we brought on a second rig just 37 days later to accelerate acreage appraisal.”
