Presented by:
Heidi Reger, former director of development for Discovery Natural Resources, is today's featured Forty Under 40 honoree.
Before working for Discovery Natural Resources, Reger's first industry job was with Halliburton, where she was recognized with an MVP award for her work with the logistics team.
"Working with the logistics team to transform the way sand was delivered to location ultimately saved the company millions of dollars and changed the way we managed frac job logistics going forward," she said.
Reger is a member of a women's industry group that brings together women leaders from across all aspects of the energy industry to meet quarterly. From those meetings, she has been able to develop her leadership skills, as well as network with like-minded energy professionals.
"I always get new and unique perspectives from them," she said. "They are a wonderful group of women, and that meeting feeds my soul."
Not all of her endeavors involve the energy industry, however, as Reger and her husband are the proud owners of two Subway restaurants. Outside of work and family, she trained to run and complete the Colfax marathon at age 34.
Although she recently left Discovery Natural Resources to be with her young family, Reger looks forward to where the energy industry will be in the future - and how she will fit into it.
