Freehold Royalties Ltd. announced on March 20 the promotion of Vice President of Business Development Rob King to COO. Susan Nagy will succeed King in his business development role.
The promotions will be effective April 1, according to the company’s press release.
As vice president of business development since 2020, King oversaw the expansion of Freehold’s North American footprint outside Canada and over $550 million in company transactions. With his transition to COO, King will lead a multidisciplinary team to boost the company’s strategy in North America.
Susan Nagy, with Freehold since 2008 and most recently holding the position of director of business development, will be taking King’s position as vice president of business development. Over her tenure at Freehold, Nagy has been involved in over $1.5 billion in royalty acquisitions in Canada and the U.S.
Headquartered in Calgary, Canada, Freehold holds oil and natural gas royalties in Canada and the U.S. Total land holdings in Canada approximate 6.4 million gross acres.
