Golar LNG Ltd. has closed its acquisition of New Fortress Energy Inc.’s interest in a floating LNG facility in Hilli, offshore Kribi, Cameroon.
Golar LNG’s deal, announced in February, includes the return of 4.1 million shares of New Fortress Energy stock and $100 million in cash. The transaction, which has a Jan. 1, 2023 effective date, includes the assumption of $323 million in debt associated with operations in Hilli.
New Fortress Energy is a global energy infrastructure company.
