Guggenheim Partners reports it will open a Houston office, which will be led by Tim Murray, who has been named a managing director of Guggenheim. Todd Boehly, a managing partner of Guggenheim, says, "With our growing involvement in the energy sector, we were interested in improving our market presence with an office in Houston. The opportunity to open this office with a well-respected industry veteran like Tim Murray made it a compelling proposition." Murray says, "We intend to deploy Guggenheim's capital commitment to the energy industry in innovative and creative ways to meet any capital need, including equity through senior debt." Murray was the executive vice president and manager of Wells Fargo's Energy Group, as well as president of Wells Fargo Energy Capital.
