The company's #1 Peirce Unit is about 15 miles southeast of Halletsville in southeastern Lavaca County, Texas (RRC 2). The company tested the well in John J. May Survey, A-309, on a 17/64-in. choke with 790 psi of flowing tubing pressure from perforations between 10,265 and 10,320 ft. The nearest comparable production is 1.5 miles east-southeast in the two-well Givn Take Field, where the #3 Sartwelle has produced 2.11 billion cu. ft. of gas, 11,450 bbl. of condensate and 35,818 bbl. of water, said IHS Energy. 7 Barrett Brothers Oil & Gas Inc., San Antonio, Texas, plans a 7,550-ft. exploratory well about 2.5 miles northwest of Coy City in southwestern Karnes County, Texas (RRC 2). The company's #1 Robert May, in Bartlett Hickman #136 Survey, A-35, is a northwest offset to a wildcat abandoned in 1953 after reaching 4,366 ft. Hysaw Field and the #1 Ryan well are about 0.75-mile east-southeast. That 4,650-ft. well has produced 54,002 bbl. of oil and 27,001 bbl. of water since 1998. 8 San Antonio-based Hurd Enterprises Ltd. plans a 13,500-ft. exploratory well about 10 miles northwest of San Diego in northwestern Duval County, Texas (RRC 4).
