The #1 T-BAR-X-GAAS Gas Unit was drilled to 18,020 ft. and was tested flowing at 4.79 million cu. ft. of gas and 300 bbl. of water per day through perforations in the Bossier from 14,570 to 14,610 ft. The well has produced a total of 336.24 million cu. ft. of gas and 21,019 bbl. of water.



2 Sonerra Resources Corp., Nacogdoches, Texas, has completed two wildcats in Nacogdoches County, Texas (RRC 6). The #1 Rising Sun was drilled on a 40-acre lease in the Baltazar de la Garza Survey, A-875. The 11,604-ft. wildcat was tested flowing 1.011 million cu. ft. of gas, two bbl. of 57-degree-gravity condensate and 388 bbl. of water per day through perforations from 9,400 to 11,488 ft. On a 34/64-in. choke, flowing tubing pressure was 565 psi. The closest well is six miles north-northwest in Pearson Field. The #1 Burgess, Antonio Arriola Survey, A-5, tested flowing 344,000 cu. ft. of gas, seven bbl. of condensate and 49 bbl. of water per day through perforations in the Travis Peak from 9,384 to 9,500 ft. The 9,830-ft. well has yielded 814.8 million cu. ft. of gas, 7,694 bbl. of condensate and 9,745 bbl. of water. The other completed wildcat is in the Kendrick Field area in the Jose Maria Mora Survey, A-827. The #1 Two Moons was tested flowing 2.89 million cu. ft. of gas and 71 bbl. of water per day through an openhole interval from 8,578 to 15,225 ft. on a 16/64-in. choke. The well was drilled to a depth of 15,225 ft.



3 The #1 Meadors will be drilled to 17,800 ft. in the Pedro Jose Pereire Survey, A-32, Robertson County, Texas, (RRC 6) by EnCana Oil & Gas USA Inc., Denver, eight miles east of Franklin. The closest producer is a Cotton Valley well three miles north-northwest. The #1 R.L. Dodds Jr. flowed at the daily rate of 1.19 million cu. ft., with 912 bbl. of water. The 16,500-ft. well was tested through perforations from 13,670 to 15,665 ft.



4 Union Gas Operating Co., Houston, completed an 11,110-ft. wildcat in Hardin County, Texas, (RRC 3) 2.5 miles north of Kountze. The #6 Petty, George Burwell Survey, A-82, had an initial potential of 5.12 million cu. ft. of gas, 800 bbl. of condensate and 30 bbl. of water daily through perforations from 10,914-24 ft. The closest producer is #3 Petty in the Middle Wilcox, which was drilled to 12,800 ft. and produced through perforations from 12,124 to 12,566 ft. on a 14/64-in. choke.



5 The #1 Baer was completed in eastern Matagorda County, Texas, (RRC 3) by Devon Energy Production Co. LP, Oklahoma City, seven miles northeast of Matagorda in Seth Ingram Survey, A-50. According to IHS Energy, the well flowed gas at the daily rate of 7.41 million cu. ft., with 71 bbl. of 47.7-degree-condensate and 22 bbl. of water. The #1 Baer was tested through perforations from 15,804 to 15,908 ft.



6 Hunt Oil Co., Dallas, completed #1 Keseling A-64 in George W. Brooks Survey, A-64, seven miles south-southwest of Cuero, Texas, in DeWitt County (RRC 2). The 13,989-ft. well's initial daily potential was 5.37 million cu. ft. of gas, 120 bbl. of 54-degree-condensate and 370 bbl. of water. It was tested through perforations from 12,031 to 13,756 ft.



7 Houston-based KCS Resources Inc./Petrohawk Energy Corp. completed #1 M.E. Martin, Maria de Jesus Ybarbo Survey, A-50, in Goliad County, Texas (RRC 2). The 13,985-ft. well flowed at a daily rate of 3.81 million cu. ft. from fracture-treated perforations from 12,934 to 13,384 ft. on a 14/64-in. choke. The nearest producer is #1 S.G. Hernandez, Maria de Jesus Ybarbo Survey, in Austin Field. The 12,800-ft. well was tested flowing 3.07 million cu. ft. of gas, 28 bbl. of condensate and two bbl. of water per day through perforations from 11,151-68 ft.



8 A well will be drilled by BPL Exploration Ltd., San Antonio, in Starr County, Texas (RRC 4). The #1 N.B. Guerra, Juan Jose Solis Survey, A-348, will be 10 miles north of Rio Grande City. The #1 Beaurline, Section 18, Manuel Gomez Survey, A-63, was tested flowing 8.18 million cu. ft. of gas, 147 bbl. of 50.1-degree-gravity condensate and 600 bbl. of water through perforations from 13,554 to 13,852 ft., according to IHS Energy.



10 The #1 State Lease 18287 was completed in the southern half of West Cameron Block 9 in state waters offshore Cameron Parish, La., by Hunt Oil Co., Dallas. The well tested for 10.57 million cu. ft. of gas, with 686 bbl. of 49.5-degree-gravity condensate and 15 bbl. of water a day. The 18,576-ft. well produced from Cristellaria perforations from 17,410 to 17,554 ft. on a 12/64-in. choke. About 0.5-mile northeast, on West Cameron Block 9, is #2 State Lease 18287, which was drilled 18,500 ft. in the Cristellaria.



11 New Orleans-based Taylor Energy Co. completed a well on Mississippi Canyon Block 65. The #B-4 OCS-G-21742 was drilled in the southeastern portion of adjacent Block 21 in 665 ft. of water, according to IHS Energy. The 15,185-ft. well's perforations are from 14,930 to 15,000 ft. Also in Block 21 are six Pliocene wells that are produced as part of Mississippi Canyon Block 20 Field. These wells produced 1.16 million bbl. of oil, 1.21 billion cu. ft. of gas and 1.49 million bbl. of water.



12 A discovery in southeastern Winn Parish in northern Louisiana greeted Quiet Sun Investments Inc., West Monroe, La. The 2,826-ft. well is 0.67-mile west-northwest of the La Salle Parish line and more than two miles north-northwest of Tullos, La. The #1 Weyerhaeuser 2005-A, Section 11-10n-1e, tested flowing 182,000 cu. ft. of gas per day through perforations from 2,702-04 ft. on a 6/64-in. choke. Flowing tubing pressure was gauged at 900 psi. The closest well is 0.25-mile south of #1 Weyerhaeuser 2005-A. The #2 Weyerhaeuser 2005-A was drilled to 2,990 ft.



13 ExxonMobil Corp., Irving, Texas, completed a 19,935-ft. wildcat in the marshes of southwestern Vermilion Parish, offshore Louisiana. The #1 Exxon Mobil Fee, Section 7-17s-1w, tested flowing 614 bbl. of 44.7-degree-crude and 15.58 million cu. ft. of gas per day through perforations from 16,644-92 ft. on a 31/64-in. choke. Flowing and shut-in tubing pressures were at 2,715 psi and 5,371 psi. The closest well is #3 State Lease 03842, in the southwestern corner of Vermilion Block 4. The 18,428-ft. well was tested flowing 4.16 million cu. ft. of gas and 72 bbl. of condensate per day from 15,509-26 ft.



14 Houston-based Castex Energy Inc. completed the #3 LL&E, Section 38-18s-23e, in south-central Jefferson Parish, La. It tested flowing 4.46 million cu. ft. of gas and 98 bbl. of 46.3-degree-gravity condensate per day through perforations from 15,067-84 ft. The nearest producer is #2 LL&E, Section 38, in the same location. The 13,515-ft. well has a daily gas flow rate of 4.07 million cu. ft., with 48 bbl. of water through perforations from 13,900-10 ft.



15 KCS Resources Inc./Petrohawk Energy Corp., Houston, will drill the wildcat #1 Clark 4-5, Section 4-8n-6w, three miles east-northeast of Waynesboro in Wayne County, Miss., to 16,000 ft. According to IHS Energy, the nearest production is a mile northwest in Waynesboro Field. The #1 Edna E. Gray, Section 32-9n-6w, tested flowing 816 bbl. of oil and 1.56 million cu. ft. of gas per day through perforations from 13,326-45 ft. The 14,333-ft. well produced 91,347 bbl. of crude, 253.73 million cu. ft. of gas and 191,437 bbl. of water.



16 Griffin & Griffin Exploration LLC, Jackson, Miss., completed a well in Wilkinson County, Miss., seven miles north of Woodville. The #1 Board of Education BR F-51, Section 37-3n-2w, tested flowing 178,000 cu. ft. of gas per day through perforations from 2,966-80 ft. The 3,450-ft. well flowing had tubing pressure at 900 psi on a 6/64-in. choke. The closest producer is #1 BR F-46, Section 50, two miles south of #1 Board of Education BR F-51. The 3,800-ft. well tested flowing 179,000 cu. ft. of gas per day through perforations from 3,379 to 3,382 ft. on a 5/64-in. choke; flowing tubing pressure was 1,240 psi.
