London-based Global Energy Development Plc, (London AIM: GED), whose common shares are held 34% by HKN Energy Inc. (fka Harken Energy Corp.), Dallas, (Amex: HKN) has received several unsolicited expressions of takeover interest from undisclosed parties. Global is an E&P company focused on Latin America, primarily Colombia, Panama and Peru. Assets include proved and possible reserves of 19.4 million barrels of oil equivalent, with 81.8 million barrels of oil equivalent possible. They currently hold nine contracts controlling approximately 3.4 million acres.
