• Petróleos Delta SA (Petrodelta), Panama City, Panama, plans to acquire the assets and rights in the South Monagas Unit fields in Venezuela from Harvest Natural Resources Inc., Houston, (NYSE: HNR) for a 32% net interest in Petrodelta. The field produces 25,900 BOE per day. Net proved reserves as of December 2005 were 36 million BOE.



• UAE-based RAK Petroleum plans to acquire 50% of the exploration assets of Indago Petroleum Ltd., London, (London: IPL) for approximately US$376 million. Indago and RAK have entered a mutual-interest agreement covering the UAE and Oman.

Indago's assets include various interests in seven licenses onshore and offshore Oman and the UAE. The Saleh Field in Mishrif formation offshore Oman produces 100 bbl. of condensate per day and small volumes of gas. The West Bukha-2A well offshore Oman produces 24.9 million gross cu. ft. of gas and 8,364 bbl. of oil per day.



• Apache Corp., Houston, (NYSE: APA) has acquired a 45% stake in the Legendre Field offshore western Australia from Woodside Petroleum Ltd., Sydney, Australia, (Australia: WPL) for US$65 million, Reuters reports. Apache now has a 77.44% interest in the field. Australia's Santos Ltd. (Australia: STO) holds the rest. Legendre production is approximately 7,000 bbl. of oil per day.



• Penn West Energy Trust, Calgary, plans to acquire conventional assets in Alberta from an undisclosed seller for approximately C$339 million. The assets include 190,000 net undeveloped acres mostly in the Peace River oil sands adjacent to holdings in the Red Earth/Utikuma area.

Production is approximately 3,200 bbl. of oil and 10.2 million cu. ft. of gas, or 4,900 BOE, per day. Included are high working interests in a 10,000-bbl.-per-day oil-processing facility and a gas plant and compression facility with a design capacity of 33 million cu. ft. per day.



• Crescent Point Energy Trust, Calgary, (Toronto: CPG.UN) has closed its acquisition of Mission Oil & Gas Inc., Calgary, (Toronto: MSO) for C$670.3 million in units and debt. Production is 7,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (90% light oil) with 5,000 barrels per day in the Bakken play of Saskatchewan. Proved reserves are 14 million barrels of oil equivalent, with proved-plus-probable reserves of approximately 22 million barrels equivalent.
