The Arkoma Connector Pipeline is a joint venture (JV) equally owned by MarkWest Pioneer LLC, and ArcLight Capital Partners LLC. With a system capacity of 625 million cubic feet per day, the 50-mile, 24-inch-diameter pipeline is operated by MarkWest Pioneer, according to Hart Energy Mapping and Data Services.
The pipeline, which was completed in the summer of 2009, begins at an interconnect with MarkWest’s gathering system in the Woodford Shale in southeastern Oklahoma to an interconnect with the Midcontinent Express Pipeline in Bennington, Okla., according to Reuters.
The system has two compressor stations: a new 14,200 horsepower (hp) Origin Compressor Station in Coal County, Okla., and a 5,300 hp Midline Compressor Station in Atoka County, Okla.
Newfield Exploration Mid-continent Inc. is its highest transport customer with 500,000 dekatherms per day (Dth/d) of capacity; followed by BP America Production Co., with 176,000 Dth/d; and XTO Energy Inc with 25,000 Dth/d.
Arkoma No. 1 was its top receipt point for 2010 while Bennington/Midcontinent Express was its top delivery point, according to Hart Energy Mapping and Data Services.
