Kinder Morgan Inc. is gauging interest in a potential expansion of its SFPP refined products system.

SFPP LP, a subsidiary of Kinder Morgan, launched an open season to support a proposed expansion of the East Line portion of the system—which originates in El Paso, Texas, and carries refined products to Tucson, Arizona.

The open season launched June 10 and runs through 5 p.m. CT on Aug. 9, 2024, KMI said in a June 10 release.

The expansion is expected to add up to 10,000 bbl/d (gasoline-equivalent) of incremental capacity to transport domestic grade products, including gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, as well as international-grade diesel for export to Mexico.

The total capacity available for expansion is scalable, however, and will depend on the overall level of interest SFPP receives during the open season.

The expanded capacity is expected to become operational on or before July 1, 2025.
