Matador Resources Co. has appointed Paul W. Harvey to its board of directors, the E&P announced in a Jan. 28 press release.
Harvey will serve on the audit committee, the capital markets and finance committee and the marketing and midstream committee.
Harvey holds over 40 years of investment experience in oil and gas and is a Matador shareholder, the company said.
Harvey is currently the private wealth adviser at Dallas-based Vaquero Private Wealth and the firm’s former chief investment officer and senior portfolio manager, Matador said.
Prior to Vaquero, he was a managing director at BlackRock Inc. and served as regional director and portfolio manager with Merrill Lynch Asset Management.
Harvey developed customized portfolios for Merrill Lynch’s individual clients and oversaw a regional team of portfolio managers, Matador said.
"Paul's experience working with retail investors and family offices will bring valuable insights to the Board," said Joseph Wm. Foran, Matador’s Chairman CEO. "We look forward to continuing to work with Paul as a board member and taking advantage of his extensive business experience and long affiliation with Matador."
