Mattr Infrastructure Technologies has completed the acquisition of AmerCable Inc., a manufacturer of electrical power cables for electrification in harsh environments.
Mattr bought all outstanding shares of AmerCable from Nexans USA Inc. for $280 million to be part of its connection technologies reporting segment.
AmerCable’s portfolio of low and medium-voltage electrical power, control and instrumentation cable solutions complements Mattr’s brand of Shawflex products. Mattr’s Shawflex offerings service a range of industries in the energy sector, including utilities, nuclear power, electrical vehicle infrastructure and renewables.
“The addition of AmerCable to our portfolio positions Mattr as a premier provider of highly engineered wire and cable technologies across the North American marketplace,” said Mattr President and CEO Mike Reeves.
