Mitsubishi Power Americas Inc. and Warwick Carbon Solutions Development Co. have entered into a joint development agreement focused on decarbonization projects in the energy and industrialization industries, the companies announced in an April 5 press release.
The strategic partnership will help North America reach net zero goals by 2050 and focus on companies within the oil and gas, industrial and power generation sectors.
Mitsubishi’s will provide engineering, design and project development services, equipment supply and long-term operational services for electric power generation and storage systems. Warwick Carbon Solutions will provide energy infrastructure and industry expertise in developing carbon capture and storage projects.
“As evidenced by the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act and other important initiatives directed at advancing clean energy, the time is now to collaboratively pursue new decarbonization technologies and solutions,” Bill Newsom, president and CEO of Mitsubishi Power Americas, said.
Headquartered in Florida, Mitsubishi Power Americas provides energy storage and power generation solutions, including gas, steam, geothermal systems, photovoltaic solar and turbines to customers across North, Central and South America.
Warwick Carbon Solutions is headquartered in Houston and focuses on the development of power and industrial energy transition projects.
