The Trump administration will appoint Victoria Coates as a special energy representative to Saudi Arabia as Washington struggles to deal with a global oil price crash. As of press time, Coates’ start date was unknown due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Diamantino Pedro Azevedo has been reappointed minister of mineral resources, petroleum and gas of the Republic of Angola.
Brazil’s Ministry of Mines and Energy has named José Mauro Ferreira energy secretary of petrol, natural gas and biofuel, replacing Renata Isfer.
Roger W. Jenkins has recovered and resumed his responsibilities with Murphy Oil Corp. as president and CEO following his temporary medical leave. David R. Looney, who had assumed Jenkins’ responsibilities, has returned to his day-to-day role as executive vice president and CFO.
Tullow Oil Plc has named Rahul Dhir CEO and executive director, effective July 1. He will succeed Dorothy Thompson, who will return to her position as nonexecutive chair after a limited period of handover.
Ken Mariani has retired as president and CEO of Amplify Energy Corp. Martyn Willsher, who currently serves as CFO, will assume the role of interim CEO.
SandRidge Energy Inc. has named Carl F. Giesler, Jr. president and CEO.
Unit Corp. has appointed David T. Merrill CEO and president. He will succeed Larry D. Pinkston, who has retired from his position but will continue serving on Unit’s board of directors.
Equinor has named Tim Dodson vice president of strategy execution in global strategy and business development, effective June 1. Tore Løseth has been appointed acting executive vice president of exploration and will join the corporate executive committee.
Quality Cos. has appointed John Clay Nunnally CEO, Richard Tang director of business development and Derek Bollom vice president of offshore and offsite operations for quality construction and production. Additionally, Wayne Lacey has been named vice president of operations for Zadok Technologies.
ProPetro Holding Corp. has named Phillip A. Gobe chairman and CEO, succeeding Dale Redman, who has resigned from the company. Sam Sledge has been promoted to chief strategy and administrative officer, which will include assuming the responsibilities of chief administrative officer. He will replace Jeffrey Smith, who will serve as special adviser to the CEO. Additionally, Adam Muñoz has been named senior vice president of operations.
J. Marshall Dodson has been appointed president and CEO of Key Energy Services Inc. He also will hold the title of president and interim CFO.
Andreas Evertz has been named CEO of Flender Group, part of Siemens AG Portfolio Cos., succeeding Stefan Tenbrock, who will retire, effective June 1. Additionally, Evertz has been appointed an additional managing director.
Ikon Science has appointed Denis Saussus CEO and member of the board of directors.
Hu Guangjie has been appointed executive director and president of CNOOC Ltd. He will replace Xu Keqiang, who has resigned as president but will continue serving as executive director and CEO.
Frank Firsching has been named CEO of Clockspring|NRI. He will succeed Matt Boucher, who has stepped down from this position.
Alex Bergman has been named CEO of Revo Testing Technologies LLC. Jeff Spath has joined the company as an investor and senior technical adviser. Additionally, Jose Silva has been selected to serve on the board of directors.
Wellsite Fishing and Rental Services LLC has appointed Brian Chastain president.
Occidental Petroleum Corp. has named Robert Peterson CFO, replacing Cedric Burgher who will transition to another role within the company.
Tellurian has appointed Kian Granmayeh CFO, replacing Antoine Lafargue, who will join the marketing group as senior vice president of LNG Marketing. Additionally, Amos Hochstein will assume the role of executive vice president of LNG Marketing.
Blake McLean has been named CFO of Ambyint.
Scott Pittman has resigned as CFO of Chaparral Energy Inc. to pursue other interests. While the company intends to conduct a search to fill the vacancy, Stephanie A. Carnes, Chaparral’s controller, has been temporarily assigned CFO duties. Patrick Graham, Chaparral’s senior director of corporate finance, will serve as the primary investor contact. Additionally, Mark Ver Hoeve, vice president of geoscience, has elected to retire.
ROVCO has appointed Reena Rowan CFO, and Martin Young has been promoted to CTO. Additionally, Iain Wallace has been named chief scientific officer. Ian Bryan has joined the company as consultant COO. Also, Simon Miller has been appointed general manager.
Nine Energy Service Inc. has appointed Guy Sirkes senior vice president and CFO. He will succeed Clinton Roeder, who has departed the company by mutual consent.
Gary Paver has been named group CFO of ASCO.
Applied Petroleum Technology has appointed Carl Peter Berg CFO.
Hege Kverneland has retired as vice president and CTO of National Oilwell Varco. She will be succeeded by David Reid.
MFG Chemical has named Jonathan O’Dwyer vice president of commercial operations, and Tim Haggerty has been promoted to vice president of oil and gas.
OmniTRAX has appointed Justin Strickland director of economic development.
Stratagraph has named Wayne Allen Cook Jr. director of business development. Additionally, Elizabeth Viator has been appointed controller and human resources manager.
Alejandro Villa has been named global customer support engineer of Sercel-GRC.

Atwell LLC has welcomed Elizabeth Babcock as senior project manager for the Power and Energy, Land & ROW Solutions group.
