Nabors Drilling Technologies and Corva AI have expanded their strategic alliance, extending their collaboration into the RigCloud platform, the companies said April 10.
RigCloud Powered by Corva combines Nabors’ edge and cloud computing platform with Corva’s AI-driven analytics, said Blake Fosdick, a marketing specialist at Nabors. Work is still in the early stages, he said.
“We're basically giving the option to our customers to have all of the Corva-powered analytics, which is really a cool thing,” Fosdick said.
The combination will enable edge-to-cloud integration through real-time rig data processing and cloud computing; provide actionable insights to drilling crews directly on the rig site through Corva applications, when bandwidth permits; and allow Nabors and Corva to jointly create AI and machine learning (ML) technologies for the drilling industry.
