A Canadian subsidiary of National Oilwell Varco Inc., Houston, (NYSE: NOV) has acquired 85% of NQL Energy Services Inc., Calgary, (Toronto: NQL) for C$7.60 per share for a total C$290 million. National Oilwell Varco acquired approximately 38.2 million shares of the company. The offer was extended to Dec. 19, with a total deal valued at approximately C$345 million if all shares are tendered.
